Getting Started With Sawyer Marketing Suite

A step-by-step checklist for setting up Sawyer Marketing Suite and best practices to get the most out of it from day one.

This checklist walks you through everything you need to get Sawyer Marketing Suite up and running. Work through it in the order recommended, or use it as a quick reference guide.

🛠️ Setup Checklist

🔹 1 - Understand Your Two Subscription Options

Before purchasing, know that there are two ways to get started:

Product-Led Flow: Self-service — Purchase directly for $79/month per Sawyer account. You'll complete the purchase immediately using your card on file.

Sales-Led Flow: Request a demo from one of our team members who can walk you through the features and answer questions before you subscribe.


🔹 2 - Purchase Your Subscription

To purchase:

  1. Navigate to Settings in your Sawyer account

  2. Click the Integrations tab

  3. Locate the Marketing Suite card

  4. Click Get Started to proceed with purchase

  5. Review the subscription details ($79/month per account)

  6. Select your payment method and complete the purchase


🔹 3 - Account Setup & Data Sync

After successful payment:

  • Your account is created (this may take a few moments)

  • Your customer data automatically syncs from Sawyer to Marketing Suite

  • You'll receive a confirmation email: 'Your Marketing Suite is Ready!' — this signals your account is fully set up


🔹 4 - Access Marketing Suite

Once your account is ready, you can access Marketing Suite anytime:

  1. Go to Settings > Integrations in your Sawyer account

  2. Locate the Marketing Suite card

  3. Click Open Marketing Suite

Marketing Suite opens in a new tab using your Sawyer login. There is no separate password needed.


🔹 5 - Configure Your Email Domain and Forwarding

Before sending any campaigns, set up your email domain so messages arrive from your business and land in customer inboxes reliably.

  1. Go to Administration > Email Configuration

  2. Set your default sender name and email address

  3. Set your business mailing address in Administration > Business Profile (this appears in email footers)

  4. Configure email forwarding so replies to your campaigns reach your team inbox

💡 Proper email setup is essential for campaign deliverability. Take time to complete this step fully.


🔹 6 - Complete SMS A2P Registration

If you plan to send SMS messages, you'll need to complete A2P (Application-to-Person) registration. This ensures your SMS messages are delivered reliably and complies with carrier requirements.

🔹 7 - Connect Your Conversations Channels

Choose which channels you want to use, then connect them so all your customer messages land in one place:

  • Email

  • Facebook Messenger

  • Instagram

  • SMS


🔹 8 - Create and Customize Your Client Lists

Your customer data connects automatically, so your clients already appear as contacts. Create custom lists and smart lists for the segments you want to target with campaigns.


🔹 9 - Set Your Notification Preferences

Configure which notifications you want to receive so your team stays informed without being overwhelmed:

  1. Click 🔔 Notifications in the top-right corner, then Settings

  2. Scroll to the Conversations section and choose your alerts

  3. At minimum, enable notifications for new messages and new leads

  4. Click Save


🔹 10 - Build Your First Campaign

Start with a campaign template to send a welcome email series, or create a campaign from scratch. Templates are the fastest way to get going.


🔹 11 - Set Up Your First Automation

Create an automation that triggers when specific events happen (like a new lead form submission). Templates can save you time.


🔹 12 - Schedule Your First Social Post

Use Marketing Suite to plan and schedule social media posts across your channels so you stay consistent with your audience.

Where do I find Marketing Suite?

Marketing Suite is accessed through your Sawyer account. Go to Settings > Integrations in your Sawyer account, then click Open Marketing Suite on the card.

How do I cancel or change my subscription?
