š Overview
Automations are workflows that run on their own when specific events happen ā like a new lead form submission or a contact joining a list. Use automations to save time, keep follow-ups consistent, and respond to customers faster without manual effort. This guide covers triggers, conditions, actions, and automation templates.
š ļø Creating an Automation
To create an automation, go to Automations in the sidebar and click Create automation.
You can choose from a pre-built template or start from blank. Templates are the quickest way to get going and include automations like welcome series, win-back campaigns, and instant replies.
āļø How Automations Work: Triggers, Conditions, and Actions
Every automation has three parts:
1ļøā£ Trigger
The event that starts the automation ā for example: a new lead form is submitted, a contact joins a list, or a customer makes a purchase.
2ļøā£ Conditions (Optional)
Filters that decide who the automation applies to ā for example: people from a specific location.
3ļøā£ Actions
What the automation does when triggered ā for example: send an email, add the contact to a campaign, assign a task, or notify your team.
š Common Automation Examples
Welcome New Leads: When a form is submitted, send an instant reply and add them to a welcome email series
Instant SMS & Email Reply: When a new lead comes in, send immediate SMS and email responses
Team Notifications: When a form is submitted, notify your sales team with the lead details
Birthday Outreach: When a contact's birthday arrives, send a special offer or greeting
