Sawyer’s Cancelation Policy

Learn about pausing or canceling your subscription to Sawyer.

Written by Dana Browne

📝 Overview

When you sign up with Sawyer, you select a pricing plan and tier of access that best suits your needs. This is a recurring subscription charge that is paid month to month or annually. To learn more about our current pricing plans, please see https://www.hisawyer.com/for-business/pricing.

Your service agreement will outline the details of your current pricing plan with Sawyer. This agreement begins on the effective date of signing your contract and subscribing to your applicable service plan. To cancel your subscription, Sawyer requires no less than thirty (30) calendar days advance notice prior to the next subscription billing cycle. For annual subscriptions, this refers to 30 days prior to the following year’s billing cycle and for monthly subscriptions, this refers to 30 days prior to the next month’s billing cycle.

While you can submit your request to cancel at any time, we do not offer any prorated refunds for a partial month service. If the date requested is less than 30 days notice, you will be charged the final upcoming payment and continue to have access for the next 30 day period. Your account and future billing will be canceled and no additional payments will be charged after this time.

🧠 Example: If you request to cancel on January 19th and your next charge date is on January 25th, your account will be charged one final payment on the 25th and you will continue to have access to your account and data prior to the 25th of February.

⏸️ Pausing your account

If this is a seasonal pause or a temporary request to delay billing, you may want to consider putting your account "on pause" rather than canceling (which could potentially save some money in the long run.) An account pause allows you to temporarily freeze your account so that everything is there waiting for you to pick up right where you left off whenever you're ready to re-activate your full subscription. Pausing your account costs $25/month while on pause. Alternatively, canceling your account means that once your account is terminated, you will lose access to your previous subscription pricing and historical data. If you return to us in the future, you will start with new account access and pricing.

If you decide to return to Sawyer in the future, you will need to create a new account. This new account will be subject to the current pricing and terms at the time of re-registration, and your previous account details, including historical information, will not be carried over.

Submit a cancelation request

To cancel your subscription, please complete this cancelation request. Once we receive your completed request form, a member of our accounts team will be in touch to review your cancelation details during which time we will also confirm your requested termination date. We recommend reviewing Sawyer's cancelation policies should you have additional questions.

📶 Steps Prior to Termination Date

Following your termination request, Sawyer will make your data (with the exception of customer credit card data) available to you for 30 days. During this time, you can request data exports to retain important information from your account. After 30 days, upon request and provided that you have paid Sawyer all owed amounts and are abiding by the community standards, Sawyer will make your data available via an email export. Beyond a 60-day period, Sawyer will have no obligation to retain or provide your data.

  1. Download any data you may need for reference in the future prior to the date on which you'd like for your account to be closed. (This is a list of reports that you are available to export from your Sawyer for Business portal.)

  2. Unpublish and/or hide any schedules (as well as parties, packs, etc) for which you do not want to receive more orders or inquiries

  3. Resolve or submit evidence for any order disputes. Please note: even after your account is terminated, you can still submit and resolve disputed payments. In some cases, these payments may be reversed by your bank, ensuring that any pending financial matters can still be addressed post-closure.

  4. Cancel all future recurring payments (i.e. memberships, monthly-priced semester payments, and payment plan installments)
