There are a few different scenarios in which you can register multiple participants.
You can register multiple children, children and adults, client and participants, and now more seamlessly you can register multiple adults!
Here are some examples of different combinations of participants who can register:
Adults only: Client + Adult Participants
Mixed Registration:
- Client + child participants
- Client + adult participants
- Adult participant(s) (non client) + child participant(s)
Child Registration: Child participants only
Here's a reminder of the new terminology you will see throughout the registration process:
- Client: The primary account profile (associated with the customer’s email address).
- The client is the primary account that can have multiple Adult and/or Child profiles attached to it.
- Child: An account profile for children (under the age of 18) created under the primary client account profile.
- Adult / Child and Adult: An account profile for participants over the age of 18 created under the primary account profile.
- It’s important to know that “Adults” could also include/refer to the Client when it comes to the type of registration allowed for an activity.
- Participant: Anyone (Client, Adult, or Child) that is being registered to an activity.
Let's take a look at a few of these scenarios:
Scenario 1: Adult Only Class
- Navigate to your Upcoming calendar and click into an upcoming adult only class.
- On the top right, click on +New Order
Remember, +New Order means you are placing an order on behalf of your customer, adding them to the roster and charging them all at once!
If you are registering for an adult only class, you will also see Add Participant. Please see this helpful article here for more information about Add Participant.
When you land on the New order page, you have the option to Select a Participant (An adult who is already in your contact list and part of a profile) or + Add New Client.
When Adding a New Client, this is adding a new primary contact to your client list. A client can also be registered for the adult only class. Clients can also have adults and children listed on their profile. Check out an example of what the new contact page looks like here.
Here is an example of searching for a participant in your contact list:
When searching "Jason", you can see that Jason Fabio is a client in your Contacts list and Mary Fabio is listed as an adult under jason@fabio.com's account. Jason McKay, on the other hand, is an adult under dylan@bevhills.com's account.
Once you select your participant (whether they are listed as a client or an adult), you will see the name you selected below in the “Who is attending” section. You will have the option to add the other adult on the client profile as well as +Add Participant in the flow.
After adding another participant "Sally Fabio", adding optional add-ons and selecting the payment method, you’ll see a summary below before placing the order.
Next step is to place the order on behalf of your customer! This will create an order number, charge your customer and add the customers to the roster.
Scenario 2: Mixed Age (Adult and Child) Class
- Navigate to your Upcoming calendar and click into an upcoming class.
- On the top right, click on +New Order
Similar to an adults only class, when you land on the New order page, you have the option to Select Participant (An adult or child who is already in your contact list) or + Add New Client.
For example, when you search the last name “Fabio”, you can see everyone who is on the Fabio family profile.
You can select the person you are looking to register and you’ll see the name populate below in the “who’s attending” section. From there, you can select multiple participants including adults and children.
There is an option to Add Participant in the "who's attending" section as well. In case the Fabio family wanted to add their third child who has yet to take a class, they can do so here.
After adding dates and selecting the payment method, you’ll see a summary below before placing the order.
Next step is to place the order on behalf of your customer! This will create an order number, charge your customer and add the customers to the roster.
Customers will also see the option to add additional participants when registering. More information on the customer experience here!
