Working with columns
Data is managed by column, not by individual cell, so changes apply to every row in that column.
Open a column’s dropdown menu to sort, filter, add, rename, duplicate, hide, freeze, or delete it.
Select multiple columns by holding Shift while clicking a range, or holding Command ⌘ to pick individual columns.
Drag and drop column headers to rearrange them.
Grouping and subtotals
A grouping combines rows that share the same value in one column. For example, you can group transactions by location and see a count for each.
To add subtotals, hover over the grouping column, click its caret (▼), and select Show Totals.
Use the Plus (+) and Minus (-) buttons on the grouping column to expand or collapse groups.
Other transformation tools
Truncate date: Groups date fields by year, quarter, month, day, hour, minute, or second.
Transform: Changes how a data field is displayed.
Conditional formatting: Changes a cell’s appearance when it meets a condition you set.
⚠️ If something looks wrong after a change, use the undo button at the top of the element or refresh the page.
