There are a variety of ways to enable customers to register for your programs. The most common way is by embedding the Sawyer widget on your website!
Let's break this down even further. First let's talk about the widget.
The Sawyer widget is an embedded block on your website where customers will see the list or calendar view of your offerings.
Embedding your widget (with a piece of code) is essentially taking your Live View and putting it on your webpage, allowing customers to browse your classes without leaving your site. This way, they can seamlessly browse your website while viewing your offerings that are set up in Sawyer.
Take a look at an example provider's website, "Sawyer Art Collective"
When a customer clicks on Register from the homepage, they will be taken to the registration page which is where the widget is embedded. Alternatively, if a customer were to click directly on Classes on the menu bar, they would be directed to the same widget.
Here they are defaulted to a calendar view of the All Activities tab. You can see that there is a menu bar on the widget itself which includes the following:
- All Activities
- Drop-ins
- Semesters
- Camps/Events
- Class Packs
- Appointments
- Memberships
- Parties
- Gift Cards
Customers can navigate to different tabs on any widget, regardless of the default tab they originally land on. These can be hidden or customized with the options we provide. Take a look here for more information on widget customizations.
Other features that are included on every widget are your profile on the top right (which is where your customer can manage their account), the cart, and filter options.
Can I embed multiple widgets?
Yes! You can embed multiple widgets on different pages on your website! For example, if you click on the Camps page on the menu bar, you will be directed to another widget defaulting to camps.
You can also create tags for your widgets. Widget tags let you group different scheduled activities together by tagging them with a particular word. Once you start tagging your activities with different widget tags, you will then embed multiple widgets on your website. Learn more about widget tags here.
