We've added new filters to the widget to make it easier for customers to find the right activities in a more seamless way.
If you use an embedded widget, new filters allow for customers to search upcoming programs with more specificity and personalization. This helps you give your customers a better search experience when finding the right activity for their families.
The filters will work for both calendar and list views for scheduled activities types: Semesters, Camps/Events, All Activities, and Online).
At the top of the widget, you will now see Age/Grade, Time, Date, and More Filters.
The More Filters section includes the following: Location, Activity, Category, Day, Instructor, and Booking Type.
1. Age/Grade
- Either Age or Grade can be selected.
- You can select multiple ages or multiple grades.
2. Time
- Time filters are from 5am to 10pm based on your business's local time.
- Time filter works in 1 hour increments.
- Please note: If you edit the time on a specific instance and filter by the new time, the edited instance does not show. If you filter by the original time, the edited instance does show.
3. Date
- Customers can now filter two ways by date: Month or Specific Date.
- Month filters are January-December.
- Clearing this filter will not redirect the customer back to the current date on the calendar.
- Please note: If you edit the day of the week and filter by the edited instance day of the week, the edited instance does show. If you filter by the original day of the week, the edited instances does not show.
- Specific Date filter does not make much sense to use on calendar view as it wouldn't provide the appropriate results.
4. More Filters
- Location
- All active (non archived) locations will display in the list.
- Customers can select multiple locations.
- Customers can search within the location filter.
- Locations without name and/or address have default text (i.e. No Address Provided).
- Please note: If you edit the location and filter by the edited instance location, the edited instance does not show. If you filter by the original location, the edited instance does show. (The calendar card also shows the original location, not the edited one).
- Activity
- All active (non archived) activities will display in the list.
- Customers can select multiple activities.
- Customers can search within the activity filter.
- Category
- The list of categories displayed are not specific to the activities for that widget (i.e. if filters are used from an embed).
- Customers can select multiple categories.
- Day
- All days of the week are displayed and can be selected.
- Customers can select multiple days.
- Instructor
- All active and non archived instructors will display in the list.
- Customers can select multiple days.
- Please note: If you edit the instructor and filter by the new instructor, the edited instance does not show. If you filter by the original instructor, the edited instance does show.
Filters, once applied, will update the page in both the List and Calendar Views. Customers can also navigate from tab to tab and the filters will continue to be applied across tabs.
If there are no results because of filtering, an empty state is displayed and the customer is given the option to clear the filters.
