Add Participant allows you to add a new or existing adult participant to a class without charging them or creating an order. This button is great for free trials or if you have a participant who joins the class but doesn't pay.
Please note, if the activity allows adults to register, it will say Add Participant. If the activity is for children only, the button will say Add Student.
- Navigate to your Upcoming tab and click into an adult's only class roster.
- Click on 'Add Participant' on the top right if you are looking to add an adult to a roster without charging them or creating an order
Here you can choose to select a participant or client who already exists in your contact list or you can use +Add New Client to create a new contact.
For example, when searching an already existing customer "Jason", you can see that all Clients and Adults matching the search will populate.
Here's a refresher on what the difference is between a "client" and an "adult" in this search:
- Client: The primary account profile (associated with the customer’s email address).
- The client is the primary account which can have multiple Adult and/or Child profiles attached to it. The Client can be registered for adult or mixed age activities.
- Adult: An account profile for participants over the age of 18 created under the primary account profile (the Client), and essentially is an additional adult on the account. The Adult can be registered for adult or mixed age activities.
You can also create a new client by clicking on + Add New Client.
First, you will need to add their full name and email address. You then have the option to chose whether a Client or an additional Adult is attending.
Options:
Client - You are creating a new primary profile in your contact list and you will click on "Add Client" to save.
Adult - You are creating a new Client in your contacts list and creating an additional Adult who will be attending the class. The Client and the Adult would be different people and by choosing this option, you are adding the Adult to the activity roster.
Once you've selected or added the client, you'll confirm the booking type and select Book or Add to Waitlist (if applicable), then you'll see them added to the roster!
