📝 Widget Analytics Overview

Learn how to track the performance of your widget using analytics integrations.

When you add the widget to your website, you can track performance using pixels from different analytics tools. By connecting Google Analytics and Facebook, you can understand where your users are coming from and how they convert across both your website and the widget.

⚠️ Feature availability: This feature is included in the Scale pricing plan. It is not included in the Launch and Grow plans. If you’d like to upgrade your subscription plan or learn more about pricing tiers, please visit our subscription plans and features here.

✍️ Note: If you’re a provider who went live prior to March 1, 2022, you’ll continue to have access to your current features as one of our legacy providers.

ⓕ Setting Up Facebook Pixel

Connect your widget to Facebook to get analytics on widget activity and run digital ads through the Facebook for Business platform.

📊 Tracking & Reporting

Understand the events and data available through each analytics platform.

🌐 Google Analytics Events & Reporting

Once connected, Google Analytics tracks real-time and conversion data from your widget using GA4 events.

Real-Time Reporting

  • Users: A unique individual visiting your website. You can see the user’s location, where their visit originated, and demographic information in some cases.

  • Visits: A standard measure of web traffic. Use this to see how many people are visiting your widget.

  • Events: A predefined action taken on the widget or website. For example, a “page_view” is triggered each time a user opens or is redirected to a webpage.

Checkout Events & Reporting

  • Items Viewed: The “products” you sell on your site or widget, such as activity names or gift cards.

  • Items Added to Cart & Items Purchased: Events tracked to show if specific items were added to cart or purchased. This helps you understand your checkout funnel and whether customers are abandoning at any stage.

  • Item Revenue: The amount of revenue generated at the time of purchase for a specific item or product.

  • Checkout Conversion: Shows when an order was placed.

Other Reporting

  • Page paths & screens: The URL path of the webpage where Google Analytics is tracking the user or events. Screens refer to the specific page title.

  • User acquisition channels: The source through which the user reached your website or widget. This includes Direct (when a user types in your URL) and Organic Search (when a user finds your site through a search engine like Google).

⚠️ Important: Although cross-domain tracking is a powerful tool, it’s not expected to match other reports and data sources exactly. Some data may not be tracked depending on a user’s browser settings, blockers, or VPN use.

ⓕ Facebook Pixel Events & Reporting

Facebook Pixel tracks activity on your widget using predefined events tied to user behavior.

Traffic Event

  • Page View: Someone viewed the widget page.

Checkout Funnel Events

  • View Content: Someone clicked into an activity or class on your widget. This event shows the scheduled-activity ID.

  • Add to Cart: Someone added an activity to their cart on your widget.

  • Initiate Checkout: Someone initiated checkout on your widget.

  • Purchase: An order was completed and the order confirmation was sent through your widget. This event shows the order value.

  • Complete Registration: A new customer completed registration for the first time.
